Forward Marcus Kruger is headed to the Chicago Blackhawks according to the Djurgardens hockey website. The 5-foot-11, 172-pound Kruger has played center for Djurgardens IF. He was the Blackhawks' fifth-round selection (149th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

The Blackhawks are going through some injury issues right now. Patrick Sharp suffered a left knee injury Sunday against the Phoenix Coyotes. His status is not known at this time. Center Dave Bolland has been sidelined with a concussion since taking a Pavel Kubina elbow to the head on March 9. There has been very little change in his progress.
