Chicago Bears DT Anthony Adams will be presented with the Ed Block Courage Award. The ceremony will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, April 5, at Maryville Academy (1150 North River Rd., Des Plaines, IL) from 12:30-2:30 p.m.

The Ed Block Courage Award Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of neglected children and ending the cycle of abuse. It's purpose is to raise public awareness and help support child abuse prevention. That objective is coupled with the Foundation's commitment to celebrating players of inspiration in the NFL.

The Courage Award has become a highly esteemed award in the NFL, as the recipient is chosen by his peers. Past Courage Award winners include Joe Montana, Tiki Barber, Peyton Manning, Trent Dilfer, Ed Reed, Reggie Wayne, Jerry Rice, Rod Woodson, Dan Marino, and Jim Kelly.

The award is named in honor of Ed Block, the longtime head athletic trainer of the Baltimore Colts who was successful in his profession, as well as a revered humanitarian.
