On Tuesday night, Chicago White Sox slugger Adam Dunn underwent an emergency appendectomy after the teams 7-6 loss to the Kansas City Royals in 12 innings.

Despite only being hours removed from the procedure, Dunn hopes to play Thursday vs. Tampa Bay.
"I never want to miss a game, ever," Dunn said. "I definitely don't want to miss the home opener."
Showing his sense of humor is still in tact, Dunn said that doctors are unaware that he has super-fast healing power similar to X-Men character Wolverine.

The procedure took place around 2 a.m. after Dunn claims he googled his symptoms while experiencing pain before going to see trainer Herm Schneider. At first, the new Sox slugger thought it was something worse after reading about the same situation experienced by St. Louis Cardinals left fielder Matt Holliday.
"It's going around," Dunn joked.
The team was originally calling the procedure a laproscopic appendectomy and estimated Dunn will be out up to five days.
