Jake Peavy threw at least 40 pitches today in his side session, according to an official Chicago White Sox statement.

Pitching in the visitors bullpen at Comerica Park, Peavys intensity nearly matched that of a regular start. He reported feeling great, with no issues related to the latissimus dorsi muscle irritation that scuttled his Monday rehabilitation start at AA Birmingham.

Depending on how his lat reacts to the session, including any further breakup of scar tissue from his July 2010 surgery, Peavy could well make his next scheduled rehabilitation start, on April 28.
