Biggest storyline: The Huskies play in one of the tougher conferences (West Suburban Silver) in the state. Can they reload and continue to play at a high level in Class 8A this fall?

Names to watch this season: QB Jaden McGill (Jr.) RB Nazareth Bryant (Sr.) and OL Fabian Gonzales (Sr.)

Biggest holes to fill: The Huskies welcome back 10 returning starters (five offense, five defense) including some key names from a season ago; however, they will need to replace the entire starting defensive line from a season ago.

EDGY's Early Take: Head coach John Hoerster is certainly hoping for a much less dramatic August off the field, as he suffered a massive heart attack just before the start of last season. The Huskies boast some big names on offense, and that includes junior QB/DB Jaden McGill who is already drawing college recruiting attention and offers. The early regular season schedule will undoubtedly challenge this team right out of the gate. A road game at Waubonsie Valley followed by a home date against Willowbrook should provide plenty of intrigue. If the Huskies can reload on the defensive line, they will have the potential to challenge for the West Suburban Silver conference title. Can they be a force in November?
