With just six hours until the NBA Draft, many outlets are putting their finishing touches on mock drafts. As information from the NBA Combine and rumors alike have poured in, specific players have been pegged with specific teams. The Bulls, who Insider Aggrey Sam says will target a scoring perimeter player, are no different.
Here are the most frequent players the Bulls have been attached to, based on 17 mock drafts around the internet.
Will Barton, SG, Memphis (six mock draft selections)Mock drafts: ESPN.com, Yahoo! Sports, Draft Express, NBA.com, Inside Hoops, CSNChicago.com
As Sam pointed out, the Bulls brought Barton in for a private workout Tuesday, the only player he knew of that had worked out twice for Chicago. Barton brings plenty to the table in terms of versatility, outside shooting and rebounding, but he will need to add so muscle to his wiry frame.
Quincy Miller, PF, Baylor (three mock draft selections)Mock drafts: Fox Sports, Hoops Hype, NBADraft.net
A native of North Chicago, Miller's stock has slipped as much as anyone not named Jared Sullinger in the last three weeks. Despite being ranked the No. 2 prospect in the 2011 recruiting class behind Anthony Davis, Miller still has not returned to form since a torn ACL his senior year of high school. The talent is there, however, and if he checks out medically he could be a great steal for the Bulls late in the first round.
Draymond Green, SF, Michigan State (two mock draft selections)Mock drafts: NBC Sports, CBS Sports
An interesting name who has not been linked to the Bulls much, Green is a classic "tweener" who is stuck as a power forward with small forward height. Still, his production and versatility at the college level could have him sneak into the first round.
John Jenkins, SG, Vanderbilt (two mock draft selections)Mock drafts: Sporting News, Hoops Rumors
The best pure shooter in this year's draft class, no one made more 3-pointers in the NCAA last year than Jenkins. He may struggle defensively and does not bring a ton of versatility to the table, but he could be a perfect fit for a Bulls team looking for scorers on the perimeter.
Evan Fournier, SG, France (two mock draft selections)Mock drafts: Sports Illustrated, SB Nation
One of the top international players in this year's class, Fournier is raw at just 19 years old. Reports say Fournier can create his own shot and is a pure scorer, but may also struggle on the defensive end. But he has good size at 6-foot-7 and could potentially be a player the Bulls could stash overseas for a year or two.
Doron Lamb, SG, Kentucky (two mock draft selections)Mock drafts: YardBarker, David Aldridge
One of the most efficient 3-point shooters, lamb shot 48.6 percent and 46.6 percent from beyond the arc his freshman and sophomore years, respectively. He needs to round out his game but could come in right away as a scorer off the bench.
