Carlos Boozer didnt have a huge statistical outing, but drew defenders and found teammates, welcomed the Lakers doubling him so he could let Derrick Rose, who he considers the early front-runner for the leagues MVP award, operate.

I let the game come to me. They did a good job of doubling me. They didnt want me to play one-on-one with LamarI would have went to workand they knew that, so they brought D-Fish in, and I hit the open man. D-Rose happened to be the open man and hes the MVP. Everybodys trying to challenge his jump shotdoes he have one?well, I think hes proven hes got a jump shot.

"He hit shot after shot tonight. Thats okay, thats easy basketball. When they put two people on the ballusually hes the one who gets doubled-teamthey doubled me in the postif theyre going to leave our best player wide open, Im damn sure going to give him the ball, stated Boozer, who Thibodeau praised at length for his unselfishness afterwards.

Added Boozer about Rose being the NBA's MVP: I dont see why not? Hes as important to us as anybody else is to their team. Do you agree? I agree. Hes won game after game for us. He won the game in Cleveland. He made plays tonight that won the game for us here.

"I cant think of a game that we won that he didnt make plays for us to win. Even the games that we won that he didnt score a lot, the assistsI want to say the Oklahoma City gamehe made the right play. Hell continue to prove it and I think slowly, but surely, everybody will start recognizing that.
