Arizona Fall League Season Comes To A Close

ARIZONA FALL LEAGUE
The Mesa Solar Sox closed out the AFL regular season by dropping a 3-1 decision to the Peoria Saguaros.

Cubs prospect Josh Vitters went 1-for-3, finishing the year with a .253 batting average. He also hit safely in eight of his last nine games. Ryan Flaherty was 0-for-3, finishing in an 0for-25 slump that saw his average drop to .268. Kyle Smit tossed a scoreless inning.

White Sox prospect Jared Mitchell was 1-for-3 for the Sags to finish with a .163 average with 27 strikeouts in 80 at-bats. Eduardo Escobar was 0-for-2 finishing at .300.
