Some of the sports stories The Associated Press is covering Sunday. A full Sports Digest will be sent about 3 p.m. All times EST:

- SEATTLE - The San Francisco 49ers go for their second straight NFC West title in prime time against the surging Seattle Seahawks, who need one win in their final two games to clinch a wild-card berth.

- PITTSBURGH - The Cincinnati Bengals can clinch a second straight playoff berth with a win in Pittsburgh, where the Steelers will try to keep their postseason hopes alive.

- HOUSTON - Two of the best players in the NFL meet in Minnesota's Adrian Peterson and Houston's J.J. Watt when the Texans host the Vikings. Peterson needs 294 yards to break the NFL single-season rushing record and Watt is 3 1/2 sacks from breaking the league's sack record. The Texans can clinch home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs with a win.

- BALTIMORE - The slumping New York Giants try to stay in the NFC East hunt in a matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, who have lost three straight but need just one win to clinch the AFC North title.

- KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Andrew Luck leads the Indianapolis Colts into Kansas City, where a victory would clinch an improbable playoff berth. The Colts could also back into the playoffs, but they'd just as soon take care of it against a Chiefs team that stunned them last season.

- ARLINGTON, Texas - The talk isn't so much about suspended New Orleans coach Sean Payton replacing Jason Garrett with the Saints visiting the Dallas Cowboys. Instead, Tony Romo and company control their playoff fate, and Drew Brees' Saints aren't completely out of the running yet.

- PHILADELPHIA - RG3 tries to lead the Redskins (8-6) one step closer toward clinching the NFC East title when they visit the lowly Eagles (4-10) in what could be coach Andy Reid's last game in Philadelphia.

- SACRAMENTO, Calif. - With leading scorer and rebounder DeMarcus Cousins suspended indefinitely after a verbal confrontation with coach Keith Smart, the struggling Sacramento Kings host a Portland Trail Blazers team that has won a season-high five straight games.

- HONOLULU - No. 4 Arizona takes its undefeated record into the semifinals of the Diamond Head Classic against Miami (8-1).
