- FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The San Francisco 49ers can clinch a playoff berth against New England. The Patriots are on a seven-game winning streak and have clinched the AFC East. Game starts 8:20 p.m.

- BALTIMORE - Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos go for their ninth consecutive victory. They face a Ravens team that has lost two straight but can reach the playoffs with a victory. Game starts 1 p.m.

- HOUSTON - The Texans can clinch their second straight AFC South title by defeating Indianapolis. With a victory, the Colts can earn a playoff spot. Game starts 1 p.m.

- ATLANTA - The Falcons can move a step closer to home-field advantage in the playoffs. They play the New York Giants, who lead Dallas and Washington by a game in the NFC East. Game starts 1 p.m.

- NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Jets resume their long-shot bid to make the playoffs. On Monday night, they play the Tennessee Titans, who have lost three in a row.

- VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova is set to leave the Big East with six other Catholic schools for a basketball-heavy league. Coach Jay Wright, athletic director discuss move after game against Towson. Game starts 4 p.m.

- SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Syracuse's Jim Boeheim nears another milestone - 900 victories. It most likely will come Monday night against Detroit on the Carrier Dome court that bears his name.

- ALTA BADIA, Italy - Ted Ligety cruises to his third giant slalom win of the season by a wide margin after an opening run that awed his rivals. The U.S. team enjoys a strong showing with two wins in two days.

- COURCHEVAL, France - Tina Maze wins her fourth straight World Cup giant slalom while Lindsey Vonn fails to finish.

- YOKOHAMA, Japan - Corinthians of Brazil wins the Club World Cup title, beating Chelsea 1-0 on a goal by Paolo Guerrero in the 69th minute.
