COLUMBUS, Ohio The Chicago Blackhawks havent had much play or practice in the last few days. Neither has Marty Turco, who hasnt started since Jan. 16.
Still, the goaltender knows he and the Blackhawks need a quick start tonight when they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Itll be interesting, but there are plenty of nights where you go into a game and have at it, Turco said. Its important to come out here, myself included, and have a big start and a big game.
Coach Joel Quenneville said the team talked about Turco starting tonight heading into the break. He said Corey Crawfords last game against Minnesota wasnt his best.
The Blackhawks will be in good health tonight; Marian Hossa, who missed last Tuesdays game against Minnesota with vertigo, said hes feeling much better and is ready to go.
I didnt know (what it was) until the doctor told me. I just didnt feel well, but my head was spinning everywhere I was, even when I went to sleep, Hossa said. Its nothing fun, but its behind me so thats good.
