Chicago, IL (July 15, 2014) -- Comcast SportsNet, the television home for the most games and most comprehensive coverage of the Chicago Blackhawks, is ready to start up the 2014-15 NHL season in a big way with exclusive, LIVE Opening Ceremonies coverage from the sold out 2014 Blackhawks Convention, which is being held downtown this weekend (July 18-20) at the Hilton Chicago.

On Friday, July 18 beginning at 5:00 PM CT (hosted by Blackhawks Pre/Postgame Live host Pat Boyle and CSNChicago.com Blackhawks “Insider” Tracey Myers), Comcast SportsNet & CSNChicago.com will provide viewers with every thrill-packed moment of the convention’s opening ceremonies featuring introductions of Blackhawks players/coaches/front office executives, the singing of the National Anthem, exciting video montages, plus – a special live interview with a Blackhawks player immediately following the ceremony and much more.

In addition, viewers can look forward to nightly reports throughout the convention weekend on SportsNet Central (6:30 PM, 10:00 PM, 10:30 PM and midnight) featuring interviews with Blackhawks players, coaches and fans.  Plus, Myers and CSNChicago.com digital hockey producer Nina Falcone will be providing fans with additional, comprehensive digital coverage throughout the weekend with exclusive convention video highlights and numerous players/coaches/front office executive interviews.
