HIGHLIGHT COMCAST SPORTSNET’S ALL-STAR BREAK PROGRAMMING LINE-UP   

Chicago, IL (July 14, 2014) -- Comcast SportsNet, the television home of the Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs and White Sox, will be providing viewers with several special programming events during All-Star break this week, including “Classic” game telecasts featuring 2014 White Sox Hall of Famer Frank Thomas and 2014 Cubs Hall of Famer Greg Maddux, along with the world premiere of the Comcast SportsNet Original Production: “Welcome to Cooperstown: Frank Thomas.”  In addition, fans can also look forward to a replay of the Blackhawks thrilling Western Conference Final Game 5 double-OT victory over the LA Kings. TUESDAY, JULY 15

7:00 PM – “Blackhawks Classic”: Los Angeles at Blackhawks (Western Conference Final, Game 5, 5-4 double-OT Blackhawks win) -- Down three games to one against the Kings, the Blackhawks were determined to get back into the series and did just that in this thrilling 5-4 double-OT victory at the United Center thanks to the standout performances by Patrick Kane (one goal, three assists) and Brandon Saad (one goal, two assists).

WEDNESDAY, JULY 16

11:00 AM – International Soccer: Liverpool vs. Brondby (L) Liverpool, the Barclays Premier League second-place finishers (behind Manchester City), open up their 2014-15 pre-season in Denmark.

3:30 PM – Chicago Blackhawks Press Conference (L) Comcast SportsNet will carry the official team press conference formally announcing the eight-year contract extensions of Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane. (NOTE: press conference will also be streamed live on CSNChicago.com & ChicagoBlackhawks.com)

7:00 PM – “Greg Maddux Hall of Fame Classic”:Milwaukee at Cubs (from July 17, 2004) – In his return season back to the northside in 2004, a season in which he produced 16 wins, Maddux was simply stellar as he pitched a complete game shutout, allowing just six hits, while striking out four.

THURSDAY, JULY 17

6:30 PM – “Welcome to Cooperstown: Frank Thomas” (documentary premiere) – A brand new, one-hour Comcast SportsNet Original Production that takes an in-depth look at the life and brilliant career of one of the greatest hitters in baseball history. (NOTE: replay to air at 10:00 PM).

7:30 PM – “Frank Thomas Hall of Fame Classic”: Cleveland at White Sox (from July 27, 1993) – In just one example from his mammoth 1993 MVP season, Thomas’ dominance was once again on display at the plate as he went 4-4 with two home runs and five RBI, leading the White Sox to a 7-4 victory.
