Chicago, IL (December 19, 2012) Comcast SportsNet, the television home for the most games and most comprehensive coverage of the Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs and White Sox, will provide viewers with a special programming gift this holiday season as the network will present Team USA - Return to London, a series of programming blocks reliving some of the most spectacular, heart-pounding and historic moments of the London Olympics. Courtesy of NBCUniversals epic coverage of the summer games, Comcast SportsNets week-long presentation of Team USA - Return to London begins on Christmas Eve - Monday, December 24 at 7:00 PM CT. Team USA - Return to London programs will be introduced by NBC commentators Bob Costas (swimming, diving and gymnastics), Dan Patrick (womens beach volleyball) and Liam McHugh (womens soccer semifinal and final). In addition, the coverage will include a number of post-event interviews, and also showcases Costas in-depth interview with Olympic swimming legend Michael Phelps.
Highlights of Team USA - Return to London include numerous stellar Phelps performances that helped him reach a record-breaking 22 Olympic medals, establishing himself as the most decorated Olympian of all time; Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings third-consecutive gold medal in beach volleyball; USA womens gymnastics, The Fab Five, as they took the USAs first gold medal since 1996, and all-around gold medal winner Gabby Douglas; Ryan Lochtes gold medal performance in the 400 individual medley; and Team USA womens soccer semifinal match against Canada and the teams gold medal win against Japan, redemption for the their devastating 2011 World Cup finals defeat.
