Jay Cutler appeared to take some degree of offense at a fan reaction as he headed into the Soldier Field tunnel at halftime of the Carolina Panthers game. There were some boos, although those had started earlier and toward more than just Cutler.

Id boo us, too, Cutler said afterwards. It was a boo-worthy performance.

He and the 2012 Bears are in good company.

When the Bears left the field at halftime against the Indianapolis Colts, they were roundly booed. That was halftime of the Dec. 8, 1985 game against the Indianapolis Colts, with the Bears sleepwalking through a 3-3 first half.

The Bears were the 12-1 and the Bears had clinched the division championship and home-field throughout the playoffs. And still the boos came cascading down.

Id have booed us, too, center Jay Hilgenberg said, sounding positively Cutlerian.
