Minor League Baseball and Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. honored Charlottes Jordan Danks with a Rawlings Gold Glove Award for defensive excellence on Thursday. He was one of nine players honored in the minor leagues.

Danks was honored as the top defensive center fielder. He played 131 games for the Knights and registered 319 putouts and nine assists. He was also credited with three double plays. The only error Danks committed came August 31st versus Durham giving Jordan a .997 fielding percentage for the year and a 2.50 range factor. Danks has committed just two errors for a career .997 fielding percentage n 321 career games in center.

This is a great honor for Jordan. He has not only been a great player for us, but he has volunteered his time in our community through our different initiatives, said Dan Rajkowski, Vice President and General Manager of the Charlotte Knights.
