Eduardo Escobar continued on his AFL tear Thursday evening as he provided one of the few bright spots in Peorias 11-4 loss at Surprise.
Escobar, an infielder who split the regular season between Winston-Salem and Birmingham, was 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored to extend his hitting streak to four games. Hes hitting .444 8-for-18 with four RBIs and four runs scored during that stretch. Jared Mitchell went 0-for-4 as his average dropped to .226. Hes hitless in his last two games. Catcher Jason Bour struck out in his only at-bat.
Anthony Carter made his third appearance and threw his third no-hit inning. He has seven strikeouts in the three innings.
