Kirk Hinrich will travel to Memphis with the Bulls after their practice Sunday afternoon at the Berto Center and hopes to play in their game Monday night against the Grizzlies, he told CSNChicago.com following the Bulls Saturday night win over the Nets at the United Center.
I hope to play Monday, for sure, Hinrich, who has missed two consecutive games with a bruised left knee, told CSNChicago.com. I dont anticipate it being too much longer. All signs are its improving and Im just anxious to get back out there. Were playing really well right now.
The knees been my main issue, continued the point guard, who has had five separate ailmentsinjuries to his thumb, groin, hip and elbow, in addition to his latest setbacksince the preseason began. I saw the doctor, did some stuff to really help with me getting treatment. Just hope to be ready to go.
Hinrich attempted to participate in Saturday mornings walk-through, but was ruled out of the evenings contest.
The veteran praised rookie Marquis Teague, who has received significant playing time in his recent absence, for his poised play.
Hes doing a great job. Hes very talented, Hinrich said. Hes doing a good job of just being solid and making good plays. Hes defending very well.
