The Maui Invitational, set to take place Nov. 19-21 at the Lahaina Civic Center in Maui, Hawaii, schedule was announced today, and the Illinois Illini will face Southern California in the first round on Nov. 19 at 11 p.m. CT.
The six other teams in the tournament are North Carolina, Marquette, Butler, Mississippi State, Texas and Chaminade.
The Illini would then play either Texas or Chaminade in the winner's or loser's bracket on Nov. 20. The third round games will be played on Nov. 21.
Illinois will host Colgate in Champaign, Ill. on Nov. 9 as part of the opening round of the tournament.
Other first round matchups include: Butler vs. Marquette, Mississippi State vs. North Carolina, and Texas vs. Chaminade.
The Maui Invitational is in its 29th year, and last year No. 6 Duke defeated No. 14 Kansas in the Championship round.
