The run is over for Jackie Robinson West.

Jackie Robinson West fell behind early and never got ahead in its 8-4 loss to South Korea Sunday in the Little League World Series.

South Korea took the lead in the top of the first inning after a double by Jae Yeong Hwang. The team tacked on another run in the third, but Jackie Robinson West responded with a run of their own in the same inning to make it 2-1.

After talling two more runs — one in the fourth and one in the fifth inning — South Korea added four more, including a solo home run by Hae Chan Choi, in the sixth inning to increase the lead to 8-1.

Jackie Robinson West tried to pull some late-game heroics in the final inning. The team rallied to score three runs, but came up short.
