Professional Boxer James Toney is lobbying to get a fight with Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Recently, Toney had some harsh words aimed towards Jackson in an interview with FightHype.

"The only thing that the Fake Mr. T has to do is sign the contract. Rampage is a decent club fighter and if he thinks his club fighting style can match my skills, then he is crazy as hell."

This past August, Toney got a chance to bring his boxing talents to MMA and face the always popular Randy Couture. He unfortunately had no answer for Couture's superior ground game and looked helpless until he was easily submitted in the first round. Since then, "Light's Out" has been looking for a chance at redemption after getting dominated at UFC 118 in Boston.

Jackson followed up with a statement to Inside MMA: "I want to fight James Toney, he's been talking a lot of crap about me." He later guaranteed that he would knock Toney out.

After Toney's fight in Boston, UFC President Dana White said he is "done" with these "freak show" fights. The odds of this bout coming into fruition are slim because White may have other plans for Rampage. If Maurico "Shogun" Rua defeats Rashad Evans in March, a fight with Shogun would be a more realistic path for Jackson. For a match to be set up with Toney, Rampage would have to talk White into making it happen.

"Is he mad because I called him an Uncle Tom or because I said Detroit wouldn't accept him?" laughed Toney. "My boy said Rampage stayed in his room and they were in Auburn Hills. They knew better than to go to the D where I'm from. I will go on record and say he is not dumb enough to stand and trade with me."

"Machida almost knocked him out, so what do you think I would do to him? Rampage is a black redneck. I ain't hard to find, sign the contract."
