With the St. Louis Rams already traded out of No. 2 and Robert Griffin III, the current big unknown in the draft next Thursday is what the Minnesota Vikings will do at No. 3.
It is a pick that could become picks, and GM Rick Spielman has let it be abundantly known that he is waiting by the phone for offers for the pick.
If no one calls, the Vikings are expected to take USC tackle Matt Kalil. That could be it but
NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock said Thursday I believe Kalil is the choice, and if not Kalil, then Claiborne, referring to LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne, considered one of the top four players in this draft.
Mayock said Claiborne and Alabama running back Trent Richardson were the next highest-ranked players in the draft after quarterbacks Griffin and Andrew Luck.
