KICKING        B-
Robbie Gould had a field goal blocked, the first since the Seattle game in October 2010. But Gould converted from 39 and 21 yards for what amounted to the winning points. Adam Podlesh put two of eight punts inside the 20 and averaged 39.6 net yards.
Not many chances. Devin Hester fair-caught two of three punts to him and Eric Weems netted 27 yards on his one KOR.
Zackary Bowman marked his return to a Chicago uniform by recovering a muffed punt to set up a third-quarter field goal. Stefan Logan returned six punts a total of seven yards in addition to his muff, and averaged only 22 yards on two kickoff returns.
Coaches dialed up the emphasis on teams and the effort was noticeable. Big returns are still missing but coverage is critical for giving a very good Bears defense field position.
