MINNEAPOLIS--After testing his sprained right ankle in pregame warmups at the Target Center, Joakim Noah will miss Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves, the Bulls center confirmed to CSNChicago.com.

Noah, who suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Monday's home loss to the 76ers, didn't participate in the team's morning shootaround after practicing Tuesday afternoon at the Berto Center, prior to the team's departure to Minnesota.
Kurt Thomas will start in Noah's place, according to Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau.
