Sick bay: Bennett out; Bush, Jennings still not practicing

Wide receiver Earl Bennett will not play next Sunday in Minnesota, declared out by the Bears because of lingering effects of the concussion suffered last Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.

Bennett was declared out by coach Lovie Smith on Thursday and the news was not a lot better for two key players. Running back Michael Bush remained unable to practice with sore ribs and was joined on the sidelines by cornerback Tim Jennings (shoulder).

Guards Gabe Carimi (hamstring) and Chris Spencer (knee) practiced only on a limited basis, as did receiver Devin Hester (concussion) and Alshon Jeffery (knee) and defensive tackle Stephen Paea (foot).

The Vikings again practiced without defensive end Jared Allen (shoulder, back), and coaches held running back Adrian Peterson out of practice as well.

Tight end Kyle Rudolph (shoulder), linebacker Jasper Brinkley (shoulder), tackle Phil Loadholt (knee), center John Sullivan (ribs, knee) and cornerback Antoine Winfield (knee) all remained limited in practice.
