Note the following quotes from Inside Look with Stan Bowman presented by Cadillac premiering Wednesday, October 2 at 7:00 PM on Comcast SportsNet:
BOWMAN on the comparison of winning the Stanley Cup in 2013 to his first in 2010:
“In some ways, the second one is more rewarding…(following the 2010 title) you have a couple of seasons where it doesn’t go your way, and you are sort of reminded about how difficult it is to win.”
BOWMAN on Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane as the faces of Blackhawks hockey:
“They really understand what it’s all about. We are very fortunate to have two players like that. I think most franchises would die to just have one, we've got two of them.”
BOWMAN on his battle and recovery after being diagnosed twice with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma:
“Everyone wants to talk to you…and there’s a lot of tears in those moments…and then once you finally get into the treatment part of it, then you’re feeling better because you’re actually doing something to make it better and you get through your treatments, and you just get through it.”
BOWMAN on his goal of capturing another Stanley Cup championship this upcoming season:
“I think we’re motivated, we’re hungry, we want it. We have a similar group coming back, and we’re going to have some continuity from that perspective, but you still have to get out there and do it, no one’s going to hand us any victories when we start the season.”
