Beckham, De Aza file for salary arbitration

White Sox Gordon Beckham and Alejandro De Aza were among 133 MLB players who filed for arbitration on Tuesday.

The second baseman and outfielder are the only players on the White Sox 25-man roster eligible for arbitration.

Beckham hit .234 with 16 home runs and 60 RBI in 151 games last season while earning 520,000. De Aza, who earned 495,000, hit .281 with nine home runs, 50 RBI and 81 runs scored in 131 games for the White Sox.

The two players are projected to earn 3.1 million and 1.7 million, respectively, according to MLBTraderumors.com.

Players and teams exchange salary figures on Friday. Arbitration cases are held from Feb. 4-20 if the two sides cant reach a deal.
