Kid runs on the field during Sox-O's

Less than a week ago, the White Sox had a delay at U.S. Cellular Field because the batter's box wasn't up to Miguel Cabrera's standards.

Thursday, there was another delay when a child ran onto the field during the middle of the top of the seventh inning.

The kid couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 and White Sox left fielder Dayan Viciedo had to actually pick him up and carry him to a security guard, who then took the kid and carried him into the stands in search of his parents.

We've seen plenty of drunk fans on the field, but can anybody recall a time a KID has run on the field during play?

I was in the dugout so I didnt really see it," Gavin Floyd said. "I think its abnormal, Im sure. Usually its some other adult thats not sober.

When asked if he thought the kid was drunk, Floyd replied: "I hope not."

"Yeah, that was pretty. That was kind of weird," Adam Dunn said. "But now give him some parenting advice or something."

Viciedo recalled the events.

"My first reaction was just to grab him," he said. "What I was thinking was that I hoped a ball doesnt come and hit him, so that is why I instinctively went to grab him. I didnt know if the play had stopped or not.

"My first reaction was to grab him and start laughing afterwards. My teammates actually just said, you got to be careful. Next time let the kid run."
