Marinez recalled from Charlotte

The Chicago White Sox recalled right-handed pitcher Jhan Marinez from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move from sending down right-hander Deunte Heath, who was optioned to Charlotte last Sunday.
The 23-year-old Marinez is a product of the compensation the White Sox received from the Miami in exchange for the Marlins agreeing to terms with manager Ozzie Guillen.
Marinez is 2-2 with a 3.14 ERA in 26 relief appearances spanning 43 innings with Charlotte this season. Batters are hitting just .182 off him, and he has 47 strikeouts. He leaves Charlotte having thrown 13.0 consecutive scoreless innings over his last six outings.
In seven minor league seasons, Marinez is 12-17 with a 3.96 ERA. He pitched in the 2011 Futures All-Star Game, striking out the only batter he faced for the World team.
Marinez is the 11th rookie, and ninth rookie pitcher to appear on the White Sox 25-man roster.
