Will Ohman is on the way out and Leyson Septimo is on the way in. Prior to tonight's series opener against the Yankees, the White Sox purchased the contract of left-hander Septimo from Class AAA Charlotte and designated Ohman for assignment.

Ohman went 0-2 with a 6.41 ERA in 32 appearances in 2012 and was 1-5 with a 4.95 ERA in 91 games over two seasons with the White Sox.

Septimo went 2-1 with a 1.48 ERA, one save, 39 strikeouts, and a .135 opponents average, over 21 relief appearances this season with the Knights. While holding opponents to the lowest batting average against relievers in the International League, he also limited left-handed hitters to a .095 average with 16 strikeouts in 2012.
