Will Sox need to alter rotation after Friday's marathon game?

KANSAS CITY --- Fridays 14-inning game is likely to change the White Sox plans for their rotation.

Dylan Axelrod is listed as the teams starter Tuesday night in Boston. But White Sox manager Robin Ventura said those plans could be altered after Axelrod threw 31 pitches in a two-inning relief stint on Friday.

Axelrod earned the victory with two scoreless innings pitched in a 9-8 win over the Kansas City Royals in 14 innings.

The White Sox originally planned to activate Philip Humber off the disabled list on Wednesday, but may move him up one day, Ventura said.
