Hamilton staying patient in recovery process

ORLANDORip Hamilton didnt take part in the Bulls record-setting win over the Magic Monday night, but the veteran shooting guard is slowly working his way back from his right-shoulder injury, so he can participate in even more significant games for the team.

Getting better every day. I think thats the key thing that we want, to get better every day and not have any setbacks, and weve been doing that so far, Hamilton said of his recovery from a freak injury suffered when he ran into a screen set by Pacers All-Star center Roy Hibbert.

We just want to continue to get it better each and every day. Its really hard to put a timetable on it. As long as we continue to progress, I just hope for the best, really.

Hamilton, known as a fierce competitor throughout his 13-year NBA career, wants to be back on the court, but understands that not only are the injury-plagued Bulls winning games without their starting backcourt of himself and Rose, but being as close to 100 percent as possible for the seasons stretch run would behoove the team.

Just a few days ago, I was just able to get my hand over my head, so that was the biggest thing. We shot a little bit underneath the basketone foot, two feet outso as long as I get better, Im happy with it, he explained.

The pain is still there. I think even when I come back, theres still going to be pain. I dont think its something where its going to be pain-free. I know time is not on my side, so I know when I come back, theres probably still going to be pain. So, the biggest thing with me is trying to get my range of motion, where Im going to be able to shoot the ball because its my right side.
