After becoming Sunday's hero in the Bear's 31-30 victory over the Minnesota Vikings, tight end Martellus Bennett joined The Lance Briggs Show to talk about what went through his mind as the final seconds ticked away at Soldier Field.
"The first thing I think about is all you guys," Bennett told his teammate. "I think about the defense, the offense and the coaches, and I was like 'I gotta make this play for everybody else.' So that's what I really think about, the hard work we put in together so far."
But for Bennett, it's not all football all the time. He will soon be hosting an art show and has recently put his writing talents to good use. Now that he's created a new cartoon and written his own children's book, he's looking for a fun and easy way to help today's youth.
"First I was gonna get (the book) published, but I wanted to find a way to get it to the kids for free," he said. "So I actually created a whole new children's website and it's gonna be a lot of activities and games and they'll be able to read all the books I write."
