Richard Dent and Dan Hampton would like to have dinner and play a little golf with you.

Dent and Hampton are among more than a dozen Pro Football Hall of Fame members scheduled to be part of the second annual Chicago Salute to Greatness on June 3-4 at the Glen Club in Glenview.

The event is partnered with Make-A-Wish Illinois to support granting wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. A purpose is to promote the positive values of sports and the understanding of the origin and development of football as part of American culture.

Besides Dent and Hampton, 2013 Hall of Fame inductees Dave Robinson and Curley Culp are scheduled, as are Mike Haynes, Ted Hendricks, Marv Levy, Tom Mack, Randall McDaniel, Warren Moon, Anthony Munoz, John Randle, Dave Wilcox, Kellen Winslow and Jack Youngblood. The event will cross over generations as well. Jarrett Payton, son of Bears running back Walter Payton, and George Connor Jr., son of Bears Hall of Fame linebacker George Connor, are also scheduled to attend.

A reception, dinner and auction, which will include items donated by the Bears, are set for Monday, June 3, starting at 5:30 p.m. Golf with a shotgun start begins at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, followed by dinner and an awards ceremony at 5 p.m.
