Just one day after the Chicago Bears released fullback/tight end Evan Rodriguez because of a few poor choices, the Miami Dolphins scooped him up, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.
Rodriguez, a fourth-round draft pick in 2012, was arrested twice this off-season and charged with a DUI, speeding and improper lane change. One of his arrests occurred in Miami Beach, but those charges were dropped.
The ex-Bear fullback will now have the chance to prove himself able to change with a fresh start as a Dolphin.
The Bears signed Tony Fiammetta to replace Rodriguez.
