With a run on defensive tackles in the early part of the first round, the Bears were able to get the guy they wanted in Shea McClellin. Phil Emery has seven possibilities at No. 19 and McClellin is a player he singled out.
With Chandler Jones and Whitney Mercilus on the board, the Bears decided to go a different route by selecting BSU's Shea McClellin. Bears GM Phil Emery liked McClellin's consistency throughout his career.
The Bears went into the NFL Draft looking for a pass rusher and they got one by grabbing Boise State defensive end Shea McClellin in the first round. McClellin had seven sacks for the Broncos in 2011.
