INDIANAPOLIS -- The needs on the defensive side of the ball are as great as they have ever been for the Bears. General manager Phil Emery is expected to rebuild the defense through free agency and the NFL Draft this offseason, but does that mean they should ignore the offensive side of the ball almost entirely?

CSN Bears pre/postgame analyst Jim Miller doesn't think so.

Miller caught up with Bears Insider John 'Moon' Mullin at the NFL Scouting Combine on Thursday to discuss their takeaways off Phil Emery and head coach Marc Trestman's press conferences.

"I think everyone is focusing so much on the defense," Miller said. "I don't think they can ignore the offensive side of the ball. If there's a talented player that can get better the Chicago Bears overall as a football team, whether offensively or defensively, I don't think that's going to be ignored."
