The Bears keep right on rolling this offseason, adding more defensive depth by bringing back cornerback Sherrick McManis.

McManis, a 26-year-old Peoria native and Northwestern product, inked a one-year deal. He spent the last two seasons with the Bears, totaling 17 tackles, a kick block (which was returned for a touchdown in 2012) and a pass defensed in 27 games in Chicago.

Since the start of 2012, his 25 special teams tackles is the second-highest total on the Bears.

McManis was originally a fifth-round pick of the Houston Texans, where he played in 25 games from 2010-11.
