The Bears have a chance of being selected to appear on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” next season.
NFL owners met in Washington D.C. on Tuesday and agreed if a team does not volunteer first, they will force teams to take part in the critically acclaimed TV show starting next season.
In addition, the owners have implemented a set of circumstances when hand-picking a team to appear on the show.
There seems to be a disconnect among outlets on the circumstances, but the majority of them indicate that teams who made the playoffs in at least one of the previous two seasons, those with new head coaches or those who have appeared on the show within the previous 10 seasons, cannot be obligated to appear on the show, according to NFL.com and CBSSports.com.
If the Bears don't make the playoffs this season and don’t have a change at the head coaching position in the offseason, they could be chosen to participate.
