Two NFC North quarterbacks featured on a Sports Illustrated cover...who would have thought that was possible 10 years ago?

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and Detroit Lions signal-caller Matt Stafford graced the regional cover of Sports Illustrated's Sept. 1 issue with the headline, "Where Did All The Gunslingers Go? The NFC, That's Where."

SI also created covers for six other NFC starting quarterbacks, including Matt Ryan (Atlanta Falcons), Drew Brees (New Orleans Saints), Nick Foles (Philadelphia Eagles), Tony Romo (Dallas Cowboys), Colin Kaepernick (San Francisco 49ers) and Russell Wilson (Seattle Seahawks).

The last time Cutler was featured on a cover of SI was back on Jan. 24, 2011 with the headline, "Bring on the Packers," previewing the NFC championship game.

The SI cover jinx was in full effect after Cutler exited the game with an MCL sprain as the Bears fell to their rival Green Bay Packers, 21-14. Green Bay went on to win the Super Bowl. Chicago hasn't been back to the postseason since that cold, winter evening.
