When Pro Bowl defensive lineman Henry Melton was carted off the field during the Bears' win over the Steelers Sunday night, people feared the worst.

That fear is confirmed now, as Melton has been diagnosed with a torn ACL.

It's a huge blow to the Bears defensive line, which has already gone through its fair share of adversity in the first three games of the season.

Melton had 44 tackles, six sacks and two forced fumbles in his Pro Bowl campaign last year. In three games this season, the 26-year-old Texas product had five tackles and one fumble recovery.
