As the Bears welcome the undefeated Saints to Soldier Field on Sunday afternoon, the two teams have much more in common that you would think.

Each team boasts an offense that sits at the top of the NFC in scoring. Both clubs are tied for second in their conference with a plus-7 giveaway-takeaway differential. 

But the comparisons go far beyond the field. 

NewOrleansSaints.com put together a list of 29 connections between the two clubs that stretch as far back to their high school days.

Here's a look at some of the notable connections: 

-Bears left tackle Jermon Bushrod was a fourth-round selection of the Saints in 2007.

-Bears running back Matt Forte played for Slidell High School and was a standout back at Tulane University.

-Bears cornerback Charles Tillman starred at Louisiana-Lafayette University.

-Bears rookie starting right tackle Jordan Mills played college football at Louisiana Tech.

-Bears cornerback Tim Jennings and Saints tight end Benjamin Watson were college teammates at the University of Georgia.

-Bears backup quarterback Josh McCown and Saints quarterback Luke McCown are brothers.

-Saints head coach Sean Payton is an Illinois-native and played for the Bears in 1987.

-Bears head coach Marc Trestman assisted Payton in the team's training camp in 2007.

-Bears offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer was a running backs coach (2008) and offensive line coach (2009-12) with the Saints.

-Bears defensive Quality Control Coach Chris Harris played for Louisiana-Monroe University.
