Charles Tillman went back to his recent role of spectator at mid-week practices as the veteran Pro-Bowl cornerback was held out of practice with the groin strain that limited him this time last week and took him out in the second half of the Detroit Lions game.

Wide receiver Brandon Marshall sat out of practice with a sore foot, and defensive tackle Stephen Paea, who left Ford Field after the Detroit game with a walking boot on his left foot, also were “DNP’s” on Wednesday.

Safety and special-teams fixture Anthony Walters injured a hamstring late in the Detroit game and also was out of practice.

Defensive end Julius Peppers and cornerback Sherrick McManis were limited in practice, and tight end Martellus Bennett was kept out of selected sessions.
