When the Bears run out of the tunnel at Soldier Field to kick off the 2014 regular season, Pro Bowl guard Kyle Long will see a familiar face on the opposite sideline.
Buffalo Bills linebacker Kiko Alonso was Long's college teammate at Oregon and the two will go head-to-head in Week 1.
Long was something of an unknown heading into his final season at Oregon and wound up soaring all the way to the Bears' first pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

"It was awesome," said Alonso, who was a second-round pick of the Bills last year. "He's just an awesome athlete and an awesome person. I'm not surprised at all with the success he's had in Chicago and I look forward to playing him this coming year."
