Late in Sunday's game, Bears linebacker Jon Bostic laid a hit on Lions receiver Kris Durham after Durham recovered an onside kick.
The NFL has decided not to fine the rookie linebacker, even though Detroit coach Jim Schwartz believes it should have been a penalty.

"He took a big shot there," Schwartz said after the game. "We talk a lot about player safety. He's laying prone on the ground, giving himself up and he takes a helmet right to the back and we don't get any call there.
"It's a little hypocritical to talk about public safety and allow that to go uncalled."
Bostic was fined $21,000 in the preseason for hitting Chargers wide receiver Mike Willie, deemed as a defenseless receiver, with the crown of his helmet.
