The Bears announced over the weekend that Chris Conte will be sidelined 4-5 months after undergoing shoulder surgery.
Could this affect the direction the Bears go in the upcoming draft?
"I'm not sure it really does, because the Bears have put themselves in the classic position of being able to take the best available player," Bears insider John 'Moon' Mullin told Jen Lada. "If it happens to be a safety, that's what they would have done anyway, because they signed a number of guys, but they didn't sign that lynch-pin starter like a Jared Allen. What they've done at the position groups, that is still a vacancy even if Chris Conte were 100 percent healthy."
Just what direction will the team likely go? See what else Moon had to say in the video above.
