As the Bears continue to revamp their defensive line, a familiar face could be joining the mix.
Israel Idonije is reportedly meeting with the Bears Tuesday:
Possible reunion? DE Israel Idonije will visit the Bears tomorrow. He was with Chicago for nine years (2004-12).— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) March 17, 2014
After nine seasons in Chicago, Idonije signed a one-year deal with the Detroit Lions. He played in 15 games, but totaled just 11 tackles (including three for a loss) and a half-sack.
During his time with the Bears, Idonije, 33, racked up 28.5 sacks, including 20.5 over his final three seasons (2010-12).
If nothing else, this should help ensure the Lions won't be stealing the Bears' signals anymore.
