As Alshon Jeffery is putting together a Pro Bowl season -- complete with one jaw-dropping touchdown grab after another -- a report came out that Lane Kiffin told Jeffery he would be 'pumping gas for the rest of his life.'
It was 2009 and Kiffin -- then coach at Tennessee -- was trying to lure Jeffery to Knoxville over South Carolina.

It was a cool story that started to draw headlines and gain traction a week ago.
Just don't ask Jeffery about it.
The Bears wide receiver joined the Dan Patrick Show Tuesday and after a tame beginning to the interview, Patrick asked Jeffery about the Kiffin story.
"I'm past that. I don't want to talk about that," Jeffery said.
When Patrick pushed, Jeffery insisted he didn't want to talk about it.
The interview continued for another painful 90 seconds or so.
