ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio joined SportsTalk Live host David Kaplan to talk about the NFL's future on addressing the "diving" situation and also an outlook on the Bears season heading into Marc Trestman's first year as a head coach.
One big topic that came up in the discussion was Jay Cutler going into the season with one year remaining on his current contract.
Florio voiced his opinion on why the Bears are still waiting around for Cutler because they simply want to see how he performs under a new style with pressure to succeed.
"I'd be shocked if the Bears used the franchise tag on Jay Cutler," Florio said. "You're getting into some big dollars to keep Jay Cutler around. If they felt that way about him, they'd sign him now."
Check out the rest of Florio's comments on the Bears and the unwritten rules of the NFL above.
