Matt Forte continues to show his support for the Muscle Milk Recovery Grant program.

The Bears All-Pro running back went to the Frederick Douglass Academy football practice on Thursday and shared his thoughts on the program.

“Team activities like this out here playing football, it teaches [the kids] discipline," Forte said. "Muscle Milk is doing a great job with this. They are able to provide them with the money to get the equipment and resources so they can have the correct practice stuff, get better and have fun.”

During the 2013-2014 school year, Muscle Milk will award up to $250,000 to high school athletic departments in financial need. These Recovery Grants, awarded in amounts up to $25,000 per school, allow athletic programs to solve immediate needs like purchasing new uniforms, replacing broken equipment or restoring facilities in disrepair. Recovery Grants are part of our commitment to helping student athletes with a variety of abilities to become faster, stronger, better.
